Freeman Homes Sponsor 2017 Charter Fair

Freeman Homes are delighted to be supporting the 2017 Northleach Charter Fair and Music Festival.

As headline sponsors our team are very excited to be attending the event on Saturday 24th June that is a favourite fixture on the local calendar.

The fair takes place on King George V playing fields next to Northleach Church of England Primary School.

Look out for the brand new Freeman Homes grass covered motor home and make sure you pop by to enter our naming competition and talk to our friendly team about the new development in Northleach.

Charter Fair Attractions 2017

Welcome to the Northleach Charter Fair and Music Festival on the Field 2017

We have many events, attractions and stalls to keep you entertained during the days and into the evening – such as The Festival on the Field.

After its success last year the Charter Fair Parade will once again take place with a procession from the Market Square to the Field including scouts, rainbows, guides and brownies. The theme for parade is Fairy Tale and Make Believe. More details very soon.

The Festival on the Field will include an ‘open mic’ session for all those budding entertainers, details of how to take part will follow soon.

The Charter Fair will be opened at 11am and continues with:-

  • Wake and Shake – Pupils from Northleach Primary School with their ‘Wake and Shake’ performance.

This is then followed by a host of stalls, events and other attractions. Please support the local clubs, associations and businesses that will be offering both activities and a range of lovely things to buy:

  • 1st Northleach Cubs – games and information
  • 1st Sherborne and Northleach Scouts – coconut shy & other games
  • Acorns Three Counties Children’s Hospice – soft toy tombola & hand-made cushions
  • Brockworth Hedgehog Rescue – related products and information
  • Church of St Peter & St Paul’s – Treasure Hunt
  • Chic Ability – high quality, affordable shabby chic clothes
  • Educaid India – children’s tombola
  • Fairy Fun – face painting & glitter
  • Forever Living Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust – information and promotion
  • Heath James – handmade gifts
  • MPE – handmade jewellery at affordable prices
  • Northleach & Fosse Lions  – Teddy bears picnic & games
  • Northleach guides – sweets in jar
  • Northleach’s Mothers Union – crafts for sale
  • Northleach & District WI – cakes, pies and plants
  • Royal British Legion – poppy appeal products
  • Ye Old Traditional Sweets –  traditional sweets
  • Fire Engine – The Northleach Fire Engine will occupy the car park next to the school for all those wanting to learn more about our local emergency services.
  • Vintage Tractors – Steve Freemantle from the Northleach Steam Fair is bringing vintage tractors to the car park next to the school.

  • Charter Fair BBQ – burgers, sausages in buns by the Playgroup of Northleach and friends
    Ice Cream Van
  • Muzzy’s – pizzas, chicken burgers and kebabs
  • The Ox House
  • Fully licenced bar – The Pavilion (open 12 noon till 11pm)
  • Open Mic and Entertainment with a Central Arena with fun activities to watch and join in – Includes Aerobics with Jaki Hood and children’s groups.

  • Mini golf – Come and compete with your friends at the mini golf
  • Mini Tennis – Whether you are an aspiring Andy Murray or just want to learn a new sport, Tennis-Plus will be running some mini tennis
  • Junk Fish (festival fun for kids) – A fabulous craft tent packed with wonderful ‘make and take’ activities, along with dressing up and a relaxed family chill out area. Outdoor attractions such as the fantastic junk ball run and giant hula-hoops. All activities are supervised by helpful and friendly staff, however children must be accompanied by parent or carer.
  • Fairground and Go-Karts – Jimmy Squires Fair will be back in town. Go-Karts will again be offering a first real driving experience. And new for this year – ‘Last Man Standing’ will be very competitive we’re sure. Charges apply.
